We’ve just completed our first sailing season on Waiata, our recently purchased ITA Catamaran 14.99. We sailed her from Fano in Italy over to Croatia and back twice – then began a long, slow cruise south from Rovinj (Croatia) down to Greece. We had done our research over a couple of years in search of the ideal Catamaran for us. This included visits to Outremer, Catana, and Gunboat factories. Although all these brands have their own special attributes, it was only the ITA Catamaran that ticked all the boxes for us. We are so happy with the boat; she is all and more than we expected. Her design, layout, sails, electric motors (Oceanvolt), living areas and comfort are second to none. She sails fast, easily out-pacing other boats and is light and easy for the two of us to handle alone.
The team at ITA Catamarans have been excellent in terms of their customer service and training in all areas of the boat. This is one of the unique advantages of having an artisan produced boat by a passionate group of people who are sailors themselves, they go the extra mile to ensure new owners are fully trained and comfortable to sail her. When we’ve needed tweaks as is often the case with a new boat, they’ve responded promptly and gracefully. We’ve felt very supported in our journey from initial purchase to now being part of the ITA family of owners and that’s been fantastic as we made our way around the Mediterranean. We highly recommend serious sailors and/or cruisers looking for a high performance Catamaran with all the perks of luxe cruising to look at the ITA, you won’t regret it!
